Our Annual
Eddie Durham Jazz Festival
Presented by the Calaboose African American History Museum
Free & Open to the Public
Celebrate the life and legacy of San Marcos native Eddie Durham — a musical trailblazer whose genius helped shape the swing era. As a visionary guitarist, trombonist, and arranger, Durham elevated the sounds of legends like Count Basie and Glenn Miller, and made history as the first to record an amplified guitar.
Join us for a free outdoor concert in the neighborhood that raised him — with live music, community spirit, and a rhythm rooted in history.
Location:
Eddie Durham Park | 205 Martin Luther King Dr., San Marcos, TX
