The Calaboose Museum is located in the historically black neighborhood of San Marcos, Texas just across the street from Eddie Durham Park, the Cephas House, and the Historic First Baptist Church of San Marcos.

Admission and Hours

Admission to the Calaboose is free everyday but we encourage patrons to donate and sign in at the front of the museum.

​

We are open Wednesday - Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.

 

Holiday Hours (Closed):

September 2, Labor Day
October 14, Indigenous People's Day
November 11, Veterans Day
November 28, Thanksgiving
November 29, Day after Thanksgiving
December 24, Christmas Eve
December 25, Christmas
January 1, New Years Day

Parking and Accessibility

There is an onsite parking lot as well as street parking available across the street at Eddie Durham Park. Visitors with disabilities can enter by way of the second door, located in the back of the museum.

Tours and Reservations

If you would like to schedule a special visit or tour for yourself or a group, please contact us in advance at calaboosemuseum.smtx@gmail.com or request a tour down below.
